Community Volunteer Income Tax Preparers​

appointment-based - work around your schedule

  • Community Information & Referral Receptionists
    4 hour shift, one day per week, either 9 am to 12:30 or 12 noon to 4 pm
  • answer questions from residents about St. Albert programs and services using our Community Information Database and/or InformAlberta.ca

  • schedule appointments for the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

  • process registrations for courses

  • update the Community Information Database and Ultimate Community Calendar web pages

  • Sidekicks Youth Mentoring One on One and Group Mentors
    Commitment varies
    • work one-on-one with a youth who needs positive mentorship

    • ​help with group mentoring activities​

    • if you are in high school, become an in-school mentor in one of our elementary school programs

  • Community Volunteer Income Tax Program
    • complete tax returns for low-income residents​

  • Fill-A-Purse for a Sister Campaign
    • collect purses from donation drop-off sites​

    • check and sort filled purses

    • stuff empty donated purses with loose donated items

    • deliver purses to designated non-profits for distribution to women and youths fleeing violence

  • Zombie 5K Fun Run & BBQ - our annual fundraising event​
    • race marshall​ & timers

    • water station attendants

    • route safety attendants

    • bbq setup help

    • bbq cooks

    • cleanup help
