The Canadian Birkebeiner Society is the organiser of a three-day celebration of cross country skiing and Nordic legends. It is Western Canada's Premier Nordic Ski Event and one of only three Birkebeiner Loppets in the world, with Norway and the USA hosting the other two.
The Canadian Birkie Ski Festival is held the second week of February each year. Over 1,000 skiers participate in our festival and more than 500 volunteers contribute each year to make this unique event happen.
