The City of St Albert has a New Resident Package that provides a lot of useful information for individuals and families who are new to St Albert. The package includes:

  • Contacts for utility services such as power, gas, phone, internet and TV;

  • School registration guides (Public, Catholic and Francophone);

  • A visitor guide detailing key destinations around the City and annual events you can look forward to participate in;

  • A large-size St. Albert streets and amenities map;

  • An overview of the local tax system; and

  • Other useful information.

To request a New Resident Package, please call 780-459-1631, drop-by their office at 29 Sir Winston Churchill Avenue, or complete the online form on their website.

 

 

Welcome Wagon St. Albert

If you are new to the community, need information about the city, or expecting/had a baby and want free gifts from local merchants, the Welcome Wagon provides a welcoming service to New Residents and to New Parents.  Welcome Wagon packages will be delivered to your home:

St. Albert Newcomers Club

Have you recently (in the past 3-5 years) moved to the city, retired, widowed, divorced, or become a new mom? If you are experiencing a significant change in your life, the St. Albert Newcomers is a warm and welcoming group of women experiencing similar life circumstances who want to help you develop friendships while enjoying many activities.

St. Albert Newcomers (SAN) is an unregistered, not-for-profit, self-organized and self-managed collective, operating with the sole purpose of promoting friendship oriented activities for women. They operate as a closed FaceBook Page.

Eligibility - The Facebook Page is open to any St. Albert and area women who are at least 18 years old, new to the city or experiencing a life transition such as retirement, becoming a stay at home mom, divorce or death of a life partner. Participation in SAN can last up to five years.

Activities include:

 

  • Coffee meet-ups

  • Movies

  • Book club

  • Moms and Tots

  • Ladies lunches

  • Pub nights

  • And much more!
