Do you need help recognizing the signs of mental illness or poor mental health in your volunteers or co-workers? Consider this two-day training, presented by a Mental Health Commission of Canada trained facilitator.

Mental Health First Aid is intended for adults interacting with adults (18 years and older). It focuses on the four most common mental health disorders including substance-related, mood-related, anxiety and trauma-related, and psychotic disorders. Participants who take this course are well prepared to interact confidently about mental health with their family, friends, communities, and workplaces.

Just like physical first aid, we use mental health first aid when supporting someone with an emerging mental health problem or in a mental health crisis until appropriate treatment is found or the situation is resolved.
