What is a "simple return"?
In general, simple tax returns do not include*:
interest income over $1,000 (total of all T5s)
farming and fishing
capital gains or losses
business or rental income or expenses
*Some exceptions can be made. Call us to discuss your specific situation.
If you have neglected your taxes for a few years, don't put it off any further. While we don't recommend it, we have had clients come in with up to 10 years of overdue returns. Bring them in and get them done - you will feel better.
Volunteer Tax Preparers
Our volunteers are screened and trained, and use Canada Revenue Agency's income tax software 'U-File.' Many of our volunteers have years of experience preparing taxes professionally.
