Youth Volunteers

Since 1965 the community of St. Albert has been recognizing outstanding volunteers. Nominations for volunteer recognition are received from the community. Every volunteer nominated receives a certificate to say thank you for the time given to volunteering.

If you know someone between the ages of 6 and 21 years who has devoted considerable time volunteering, nominate them for a recognition award and help ensure they know their efforts are appreciated.

Leaders of Tomorrow Awards

The Servus Credit Union Leaders of Tomorrow Awards can inspire youth to give of themselves by recognizing their outstanding contributions to the community through youth volunteer work.

Nominations for Leaders of Tomorrow are received from the community. Every youth volunteer nominated receives a certificate to say thank you for the time given to volunteering.

How are the Award Winners determined?

A selection committee comprised of volunteers from St. Albert will review all of the nominations received. Nominations ask for information such as type of volunteering activities, where the nominee has volunteered, amount of time spent volunteering, and the impact of the volunteer activities for the organization and community. Based on the information received from all submissions, this committee will choose the Award winners. The Award winners are then honoured at a special awards ceremony.

How do you nominate someone?

All nominations must be made using the official nomination form, either the electronic version” or the printed version. Deadline to submit a nomination is March 23, 2012. Information should be clearly printed or typed and be as comprehensive as possible, with extra pages attached as required. No personal presentations will be accepted.

The selection committee will notify finalists and their nominator(s) of their selection. Winners will receive 2 (two) complimentary tickets to the Volunteer Citizen of the Year/Leaders of Tomorrow Awards ceremony on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Albert Alliance Church Hall on Villeneuve Road.
