National Volunteer Week – April 15–21, 2012
In celebration of the efforts of volunteers, we actively participate in National Volunteer Week by organizing several volunteer appreciation events each year.
Volunteer Coffee Break
Volunteers enjoy a free cup of coffee or tea from one of our generous sponsors. It is a great way for the non-profit agencies to provide a tangible “thank you” to their hardworking volunteers; and it is a great way for the local businesses to be involved in the community and show their support.
Agencies must place an order for coffee coupons for their volunteers by contacting us by February 28, 2012. Coupons will be ready to be picked up by March 21, 2012. Agencies can then distribute the coffee coupons to their volunteers for use during National Volunteer Week!

Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
Come join us for lunch and stay for the fun and entertainment!
Volunteers are encouraged to join us for a relaxing lunch and entertainment to celebrate National Volunteer Week and as a show of appreciation for their contributions to our community.
This year’s luncheon will be held on April 18th, 2012 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the St. Albert Alliance Church Hall, Villeneuve Road, St. Albert. Ticket information will be available soon.
Recognition Awards
St. Albert volunteers and volunteer-friendly businesses in our community are recognized and thanked for the contributions they make towards making our community a better place. Featuring the Leaders of Tomorrow Awards for youth from Age 6–21, the Volunteer Citizen of the Year Awards and the Volunteer Citizen of the Decade, CIVC host an Awards Brunch to celebrate the winners and acknowledge the time and help they have given to our community.
Volunteer Citizen of the Year and Leaders of Tomorrow Awards
CIVC invites you to join us to honour those citizens and youth of St. Albert who have significantly contributed to the betterment of our community through volunteer endeavours. Plan to attend this year’s Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Albert Alliance Church Hall on Villeneuve Road.
