Income Tax Prep at St. Albert Public Library - March 10

March 7, 2018

St. Albert CIVC is pleased to team up with the St. Albert Public Library to host income tax preparation at their location this Saturday, March 10, 2018. Stop by early, take a number, and enjoy the wonderful library while you wait.

Much like the clinics we hold at our centre, there are eligibility requirements to access tax preparation:

Family Size Maximum Income
1 person up to $35,000
2 persons (couple) up to $45,000
For each dependent, add $2,500 to the above income level.

Please Note: For couples, per CRA requirements we require both partners to be on hand for filing. Photo identification will be required for all clients. You must bring all required tax documents with you before we can proceed.

Returns cannot include income or expenses from:

  • Foreign income
  • Interest income over $1,000 (total from all T5’s received from bank or investment company)
  • Self-employment
  • Farming & fishing
  • Deceased persons
  • Bankruptcy
  • Capital gains or losses, employment expenses, or business or rental income or expenses
  • Other complex returns

The library session will be for drop-ins, and starts at 12pm. Our last appointment starts no later than 3:30pm.

We will only be preparing 2017 taxes at library. If you need previous years done, please call 780–459-6666 to make an appointment at our centre.

Tax services are offered as part of the Canada Revenue Agency’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.
