Volunteer Friendly Business Awards

The Volunteer Friendly Business Awards program recognizes the generous contributions and
support to the local volunteer community by St. Albert businesses.

As volunteer based agencies, we benefit from the support of local businesses in a variety of ways:

  • from discounts to door prizes,
  • in-kind donations,
  • financial sponsorship,
  • or volunteer assistance.

By showing appreciation for this support on a city-wide level, we hope to raise public awareness to the integral relationship between these two sectors of our community.

Every business that is nominated will receive a Volunteer Friendly Business Award Certificate from the Community Information and Volunteer Centre, on your behalf. These certificates will be distributed following National Volunteer Week.

Nomination Procedure:

  • Nominations must be made using the Volunteer Friendly Business Awards Nomination Form. This form may be completed electronically and submitted or printed to photocopy as many as you require.
  • Personal presentations will not be accepted.
  • Please print or type the requested information. Be comprehensive, yet as concise as possible.
  • The business you nominate will receive a copy of your nomination form.
  • Certificates will indicate the name(s) of each organization nominating an individual business.

Criteria for Nomination:

Nominated businesses must be:

  • located within the City of St. Albert;
  • have contributed to your organization from April 2011 to the present.

Deadline for nominations is May 30, 2012.

Please say “Thanks!” to our St. Albert business community. You may nominate as many businesses as you like, but please nominate.
